Doug and Martha, a couple from Minnesota, first crossed paths in the world of hospitality, where their shared passion for providing exceptional service brought them together. Over the years, they ventured into new careers in business development and banking, but their love for hospitality never wavered. They always dreamed of one day returning to the industry, hoping to own and operate a hotel together.
After years of searching for the perfect property, their dream came true when they discovered The Arawak Bay Inn in St. Croix, USVI. Having visited the islands numerous times, Doug and Martha knew it was the ideal place to build their future. In September 2024, they relocated to the island with their children and Sheepdogs, ready to breathe new life into the property. Together, they have worked tirelessly to renovate and rebrand the hotel, now called The Cove St. Croix.
Their love for hosting shines through in every aspect of the guest experience. Doug and Martha are dedicated to providing personalized stays and making each guest feel like part of the family. They deeply appreciate the support of their guests, who help fuel the local economy in St. Croix and make their dream of owning a small business a reality. From the moment you arrive until the day you depart, you’ll notice the thoughtful touches and attention to detail that make your stay truly special.
